Slumping Warriors Fall to Roaring Lions 8-6

In battle between first and last, the league leading RBC Lions faced off against the Kowloon Warriors.
The latter would jump out just 34 seconds into the game with a goal by hardworking grinder Kevin O'Toole. Undeterred, the RBC Lions then responded with three straight goals on the backs of Greg Smyth and Oslo native Nicolas Weberg, the latter of whom potted two goals in the period. The Warriors would then tie the game before the period's end on goals by British Columbia native Jake McDonnell and Kevin O'Toole's second tally of the game.
The Warriors would be first to get on the board again in the second period, by Jake McDonnell's second goal of the game. That would Kowloon's only marker in the period as RBC came back with three goals, including Nicolas Weberg rounding out his hat trick and Greg Smyth's second tally of the night.
With RBC up by two goals going into the third period, the teams would each trade two goals each in the final frame and close our the match with a 8-6 RBC Lions victory over the Kowloon Warriors.
The Warriors' Jake McDonnell would finish the night with four goals while with LPP Jesse Lussier contributed with three assists in the losing effort. On the other end, Nicholas Weberg took home five points and Greg Smyth capped off a hat trick on the game's final goal. League scoring leader Robbie Schremp finished the evening with five points of his own in the RBC win.
