China Hockey Group outlasts Manulife 7-6 in overtime shootout
In a wild back-and-forth battle, China Hockey Group edged Manulife 7-6 in overtime, capping a game filled with momentum swings and clutch scoring.

Middle of the first, CHG responded as Stephen Levac cycled across the front of the slot and goes cross grain blocker side to close within 1, followed by Andy Ma (CHG LPP) completing a 2 on 1 pass from Art Tam (CHG LPP) with a one timer past Chau to tie the game. 2-2 after the first period.

The third period was a rollercoaster - Levac tied it at 2:30, and Andy Ma restored CHG's lead at 5:15 as he banged home a corner feed from Reston Ko to give CHG the lead again. Reto equalized on the power play at 9:59 with shot in the slot by a screened Chau, and Lawrence made it 6-5 with his 2nd of the night at 12:24.

This looked to be enough as JOG was able to keep RBC frustrated, but a late penalty put RBC on a late powerplay. And with time winding down, Shane Weir tips a Antoine Devolz point shot past Arthur Chan with only 16 seconds remaining to force overtime.
In overtime, 48 seconds into the extra frame, Leon Mo intercepts a pass in his own zone, catches Devolz off balance at the blueline and breaks down the ice, pulls up waiting for Tracy Wong, then they perform a give and go before going cross crease to bury the winner past Chan to give JOG the victory.
