Keith - Pocha

November 15 - Hong KongKeith Hong’s hat trick sparked a comeback victory for K-Pocha as they defeated Mark One 9-6. Mark One led as much as 5-2 early in the second period but faded at the end as they were out hustled by their opponent.Although it was not drawn up on the board this way, the arrival of star defenceman, Gene Cheh was not until late in the second period which actually gave his K-Pocha team an advantage. Geno was somewhat fresh and played solid by not allowing Mark One to get another goal in the third period. But of course K-Pocha goalie Warren McInnes would say that he had something to do with that. All of the storylines surrounding this game overshadowed the first games for Corey Kinakin and goaltender Gerald Tang as they suited up for Mark One, replacing Grant Phillips and Horrance Cheung. Kinakin was on fire scoring four times and added one assist however, Tang did not get much support by allowing nine goals on 39 shots and many of them were either on a breakaway or odd man rush.Mark One led after the first and second periods but ran out of game in the third period. Leading 6-5 into the third period, K-Pocha scored 4 times for the 9-6 win. Doug Lightbound tied the game early in the third and Hong finished his hat trick a few minutes later for K-Pocha’s first lead. They did not stop there as Geno and Norm 'cherry picking' Chin added two more at the end.Note: Before the game, Mark One’s Jackie Chan was required to do 40 push ups as a payment for a league fine as buying beers was not an option since they were free. The 3 Stars of the Game1st Star: Keith Hong - 3 goals 1 assist2nd Star: Corey Kinakin - 4 goals 1 assist3rd Star: Norm Chin - 2 goals 2 assistsInterview with Keith Hong - https://youtu.be/QNidivG_HDw
