Starring Jackie Chan

Oct 18th - Hong KongIt was a big night for Jackie Chan and his Mark One teammates as they crushed K-Pocha 8-2. Chan scored four times to lead the way while Grant 'Captain' Phillips made his season debut at the helm of the Mark One ship.Phillips got things going with a shorthanded goal as he skated down the right side and ripped a shot in the top corner past a startled Warren McInnes, in goal for K-Pocha. Ashley Chow, one of the three LPP's (League Pool of Players) that played for Mark One made it 2-0 when his point shot beat McInnes after a clean faceoff win by Paul Chai. Mark One capped off a strong first period with a three goal lead when Chan scored his first to game pouncing on a rebound after a shot off the faceoff by Keith Fong.Mark One dominated the faceoffs in the game and it was evident just eight seconds into the second period. Chan won the opening draw to Fong, who returned a pass to Chan and he beat McIness through the five-hole for a 4-0 lead. K-Pocha did mount somewhat of a comeback with two straight goals beginning with GM Donny Ho, as he was left all alone on Mark One goalie Horrance Cheung and was able to beat him on the blocker side. Keith Hong, the only player to wear number ‘0’ in the league, closed the gap to 4-2. However, Mark One put the game out of reach with two late goals in the period to head into third with a 6-2 lead as Chan completed his hat trick while Chai got into the act with his wrister from the slot that seemed to handcuff McInnes.Mark One was in 'shutdown' mode in the third but still managed to score a few more. The ageless Holland Wong picked up a rebound in front of the K-Pocha net and looked like a 50 goal scorer as he calmly backhanded a shot over a sprawled McInnes for his first of the season. Chan completed the scoring with his fourth of the night as he parked himself at the side of the net and one-timed a shot past McInnes off a great pass from Phillips, to add some more salt to a pretty big wound.
