Derek who? Derek HU!
Taboo entered the game with balanced scoring across their team with playmaker Kenny Chiu leading the way. But in this game, Derek Hu stole the show. Derek completed a natural hattrick in under 8 minutes in the first period, scoring the first 3 goals of the game, instantly putting CHG behind the 8 ball. CHG’s Theo Wong was able to respond with 2 seconds left on the clock to give CHG some hope heading into the 2nd period.

The 2nd proved to be a tighter checking period and Andrew Weich was able to pull CHG close, before Taboo’s Grant Phillips and Derek Hu with his 4th of the night stretched the gap once again.

Taboo continued to dominate play and Kenny Chiu picked up 2 while Kevin Ng and Michael Welsh with his second for CHG rounded out the scoring.

Kirsten Rendell stopped 16 in the win, while Edward Lee was stopped 19.

Enough is enough!
InetAsia entered the game as the only team without a win so far this season. Asiaxpat was coming in as the only undefeated team remaining. This game had the fans expecting a bloodbath. However, the game was surprising very even and only 1 goal from Peter Yeung gave InetAsia the early lead after 1 period.

Early in the 2nd, Sam WH Wong finished a nice passing play with Danny Chiu and Alton Ho to get his first goal of the season and giving InetAsia a 2-0 lead. It took most of the 2nd before Hamish Pang, one of the top scorers in the division to claw one back for Asiaxpat. 2-1 after 2 periods.

Cue the Asiaxpat comeback, but someone forgot to tell Peter Yeung. Peter scored 3 more goals in the 3rd period while keeping the defensive zone clean for InetAsia to earn their first win and knocking off the top team in the division putting InetAsia temporarily into a tie with HoiHoi for 5th ahead of HoiHoi’s game against Bravo later this evening.

Arthur Chan was solid stopping 19, while Jerome Lui stopped 15.

The Three Stars:
1. Peter Yeung (InetAsia)
2. Arthur Chan (InetAsia)
3. Danny Chiu (InetAsia)

Where is everyone?
HoiHoi entered the game looking like a different team this game. With several players missing, they had a bit of a new look about them. This seemed to put a spring into the remaining player’s step. HoiHoi got to a good start getting the first goal of the game from Jason Wong with his first of the season. This seemed to wake Bravo up, as they the league's leading scorer Jason Yip, responded with another 2 goals to briefly give Bravo the lead before HoiHoi responded by a beautiful shot from the point by Sky Wong (LPP) thru a mass
of players and past a screened Antony Chan to tie the game at 2.

The only goal in the second was scored by Donald Chow (LPP) after a dominant shift in the Bravo zone and finishing a pass from Gavino Ng to give HoiHoi the lead again.

In the 3rd, it was more of the same dominance by HoiHoi as they hemmed Bravo in their own zone for most of the period. Bravo was lucky to keep the score close, but they couldn’t keep HoiHoi off the scoreboard Donald Chow scored his 2nd of the game to give HoiHoi a 2-goal safety margin. Bravo tried but couldn’t muster much in response and HoiHoi found themselves in a 2-game winning streak.

Antony Chan stopped 13, while Arthur Chan (LPP) was superb stopping 23 for HoiHoi.

The Three Stars:
1. Donald Chow (LPP) (HoiHoi)
