Release Date: 18 October 2015

Oct 18th - Hong Kong Sam Wai remained perfect after a 5-3 win over Bravo thanks to Leon Mo’s three point performance. Mo did it all by scoring a powerplay goal, an empty netter and killed penalties early on in the game. Both goalies, ‘Sugar’ Ray Loo and Scotty ‘Too Hotty’ Yang played exceptionally well as the teams traded grade A scoring chances throughout the game.Overshadowed was the superb play of Art Tam who not only was a workhorse on the Sam Wai defence, but scored two big goals which was the real difference in the game. The teams traded late first period goals beginning with Mo when he scored his third of the season on a powerplay sneaking one through Yang’s pads. Norm ‘I can only score as an LPP’ Chin filled in for Jouni ‘Yoko’ Tormanen and tied the game with a wrist shot that surprised Loo beating him on the glove side. In the second period, John Ng, the second youngest player in the league, capitalized for his first of the season on a juicy rebound after Loo stopped a point shot from Ashley Chow to give Bravo a 2-1 lead. Bravo continued they strong play and was unlucky to pad their lead despite outshooting Sam Wai by an 18-10 margin in the period. Richard Hon tied the game after Timmy Tsui sent him all alone on a clear breakaway with no Bravo defenceman in sight and calmly ripped a shot into the top corner past Yang. Tsui was a game time decision earlier after suffering from what the team called an 'upper body' injury, sustained on his birthday celebration at K-Pocha. In the third period, Tam regained Sam Wai’s lead was he walked in and used a screen to beat Yang. With 4:20 remaining, Tam gave Sam Wai some insurance by slapping one past Yang through another screen. As Don Cherry would put it, 'If you’re going not going to block the shot, get out of the way!' That was a huge goal for Sam Wai after Bravo carried most of the play and closed within one with 2:30 remaining. Mr. LPP Chin scored beating Loo on the short side for his second of the night which made it an interesting finish. At the end, Sam Wai was able to hang on for dear life and Mo sealed the victory with an empty netter with one second remaining on the clock.
